This week’s discussion point from me is about paddle gadgets, tech, apparel and accessories. From cameras to speakers, cool bags to suction-cup drink mounts, cags to dry suits, flasks to lunch boxes, radios to personal locator beacons, and waterproof phone cases to dry bags. What makes paddling a little easier, pleasurable, comfortable and reassuring for you? With a plethora of such items in a saturated market, there can be many more opportunities to level up, progress (or not!), learn, navigate more effectively, extend our paddle time, distances and our location opportunities. Do we really need them or do we just want them – and are generic versions of such products more reliable and durable?

👉 What’s your favourite paddle item?

👉 Which do you recommend and why?

👉 What would your paddle experience be like without them?

👉 Do you follow the ‘must-have’ trends or are you happy using something that’s proven its time-served worth?

👉 Has one of your items ever proved vital on a paddle gone wrong or what do you wish you’d had with you?
